'Time beats Valentine's Day gifts'
Saturday, 02.14.2009, 07:58pm (GMT+5)

:The vast majority of us would rather have quality time with a loved one on Valentine's Day than an extravagant gift, according to a new poll.

Nearly nine out of 10 people in a relationship said undivided attention would be preferable to an "indulgent gift" on Valentine's Day, according to a telephone survey of 1,017 UK adults.

Men were less materialistic than women, the poll showed, with 91% of men preferring time to a gift compared to 86% of women.
